Google Celebrates Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti 119th Posthumous Birthday In Style

American multinational technology company that specializes in Internet-related services and products, Google LLC one of which is Google.com, the most visited website in the world celebrates the 119th posthumous birthday of late Chief Olufunmilayo Ransome-Kuti with a doodle today.

Google replaced its logo with a doodle showing most of  Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti’s achievements and activities while she was alive as a means to celebrate and recognise her quota to the development of Nigeria.

Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti served with all her might as one of the most prominent leaders of her generation. Her contribution to the fight for women’s right can not be over emphasized. These activities led to her being called “The mother of Africa”.

And as she is being celebrated all over the world today, we hope that she continues to rest in power.
