
The gospel film industry is in mourning following the death of actor and filmmaker Omooba Oluwasegun Oyeyemi.
The actor passed away on June 10, 2026, at the age of 37 after a brief illness.
An official obituary shared by @eeliveng confirms funeral arrangements for the late actor, fondly called “Omooba.” A Service of Songs will hold on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at 5:00PM at New Covenant Church, Impa Estate, Palace Bus Stop, Akala Road, Akobo, Ibadan.

His burial has been scheduled for Friday, July 3, 2026 at 11:00AM at Garden of Saints Cemetery, opposite The Anglican Primary School beside Sankore College, Olorunda Abaa, Akobo, Ibadan. The family requested a white dress code for the services.

Born on June 5, 1988, Oyeyemi was a known face in Yoruba gospel cinema. He appeared in several faith-based films and was respected for his commitment to storytelling that reflected Christian values.
