Celebrity businessman Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as Blord, has advised young Nigerians against rushing into marriage before they are financially and emotionally ready.
Speaking during a recent episode of the Adult Gist podcast, Blord expressed concern over the growing trend of young people getting married because of societal expectations and peer pressure, even when they are not adequately prepared.

According to him, marriage should never be seen as a race or a measure of success.
He stressed that people should focus on becoming financially stable and emotionally mature before taking such a major step.

He said: “Don’t rush to marry. Take your time and make a good choice for a life partner. Don’t break ladies’ hearts because one day you are going to have a daughter and what you did to other people’s daughters someone else is going to do the same to your daughter.
He continued: “Treat women the way you want them to treat your daughter. Ladies, treat a man the way you want them to treat your son.”
He said: “So, don’t be in a rush to marry. Marriage is not an achievement. Nobody should push you into marriage. Because if you rush into marriage, you will rush out.”
He added: “So, take your time. Age doesn’t matter… Don’t marry who you will regret later. Because to reverse marriage is very very hard, most especially when children are involved.”
Blord urged singles to resist the pressure to meet societal timelines, insisting that marriage is not an achievement but a lifelong commitment that requires adequate preparation.
