
Nigerian celebrity chef Hilda Baci has added another remarkable milestone to her growing list of achievements after being officially recognised as a Guinness World Records ICON.
The recognition was announced by Guinness World Records through its verified social media account, which congratulated the chef and revealed that she had been presented with her official ICON certificate. In a video shared by the organisation, an emotional Baci said, “I can’t believe it,” as she unboxed the prestigious recognition.

According to Guinness World Records, the ICONS programme celebrates individuals whose achievements have left a lasting impact on the world and inspired others to pursue extraordinary goals. Baci was inducted into the category in 2026, joining a select group of globally recognised figures celebrated for their influence and accomplishments.

The celebrity chef rose to international fame in 2023 when she broke the record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, achieving an officially recognised time of 93 hours and 11 minutes. She later expanded her record-breaking legacy by earning additional Guinness World Records titles, including records linked to her massive jollof rice feat.
Her latest recognition as a Guinness World Records ICON further cements her place as one of Nigeria’s most influential culinary figures and a source of inspiration for aspiring chefs across Africa and beyond.
