The new season of Big Brother Naija finally kicked off on Saturday July 24, 2021.

Twenty two housemates were introduced over the weekend as the 6th season began with a double launch show.

However, this year’s edition aptly titled, Shine Ya Eye, comes with a special twist. The housemates would have to deal with ‘Wildcards’.

During the second part of the launch show on Sunday, the host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, announced that two housemates from the twenty two in the house were Wildcards.

The wildcards are actually two fake housemates, however unlike previous editions, there’s a twist.

The twenty housemates have a week to point out which two of them are Wildcards and if they do correctly, the wildcards would immediately leave the show.

However, if they can’t figure it out by the end of the week, the fake housemates would stay and fight for the prize.

Biggie said,

“The game has begun, two of the 22 housemates here are wildcards. You are to spend the week getting to know one another properly. At the end of the week, the house will be called to identify the two wildcards. If the house can identify the two wildcards, they are immediately evicted during the live show, but if the house fails to identify them, they remain in the house to win the money.”

Remember, the grand prize for Big Brother Naija: Shine Ya Eye edition is worth a total 90 million Naira.
