A photo of Mabel, the estranged wife of Nigerian comedian Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, with her alleged new partner, Idris, has caused a stir on social media.
Recall that in 2024, AY publicly confirmed the end of his marriage. At the time, the comedian stated that he would refrain from discussing personal family matters in detail, citing respect for privacy and concern for the mental well-being of his family particularly his daughter, who is active on social media.
In his statement, AY addressed the notion that silence equates to weakness, explaining that his decision was a deliberate and logical approach to handling sensitive issues. He also acknowledged his own flaws and the challenges within the relationship, stressing the importance of understanding rather than placing blame.

In a new development, Entertainment journalist Stella Dimoko Korkus has alleged that Mabel was recently seen stepping out with a man identified as Idris.
According to the blogger, Idris is said to be a politician with strong connections. He has also been alleged to be a factor in Mabel’s decision not to reconcile with AY after their marriage broke down.
Reacting to the photos, fans who seems to know the politician have alleged that he’s married and with kids.
