How I Got Davido to Feature on ‘Wondaland’ — Teni
Nigerian singer, Teni has narrated how she got award-winning musician, Davido to feature on her newly released debut album titled Wondaland.
The album was released on March 19 with Davido, as the only featured artiste. The duo also released the visuals to their collaboration For You, off the 17-track album.
Speaking in a chat with The Cable; Teni revealed that her relationship with the singer dates back to when they worked on his 2017 song Like Dat which was written by her.
“We have always had mutual friends and we worked on the song ‘Like Dat’ together a few years ago.
“I have always been a fan and it was great getting him on the album. For You is a song I really wanted to send a message of sacrificing everything for the one you love and I am glad Davido do that and even more,” Teni said.

The singer also revealed that she decided to go into music full time; when she failed to make people laugh as the master of ceremonies at an event.
“Seeing the joy and happiness it brought to the faces of my friends and family members; every time I sang made me realise I could actually take this talent all the way,” she said.
“Also, a particular incident where I was paid to be the master of ceremonies (MC) at an event, and when I got there, I tried getting everyone to laugh at some of the jokes I made and they didn’t react and I sang and the whole mood of the place changed as they were amazed.”
