Actress Emma Stone Gives Birth to First Child

American actress Emma Stone reportedly welcomed her first child with husband Dave McCary.

Stone gave birth to her first child on March 13 in the Los Angeles area, according to TMZ. The sex of the baby has not yet been revealed; which should come as no surprise given that the couple has never publicly confirmed the pregnancy. At the beginning of the year, People announced the news that the Spiderman actress was expecting after photos surfaced in late December of her walking with a friend in Los Angeles while cradling her baby bump.

The outlet also broke the news of Stone’s marriage to McCary, a Saturday Night Live segment director, in September of last year. Stone and McCary first met when she was hosting the show in 2016; he directed her in a taped sketch for the episode.

The pair managed to keep their relationship relatively private until they decided to go public at the 2019 Screen Actors Guild Awards; where Stone got a nomination for her role in The Favourite. In December of that year, they announced the news of their engagement on Instagram with a beaming photo and double heart emoji.

A source told People at the time, “She is professional in every way, very talented and focused on her work, and Dave respects that. He totally supports her and is unselfish in his desire for her success. Those are great qualities in a man for someone like Emma Stone. She finds his talent impressive and respects him immensely. Two highly successful people in the entertainment business don’t always give the other the space they need. But he encourages her, and she loves that.”
