I Am Looking Forward To More Challenging Roles – Hilda Dokubo
Veteran Actress, Hilda Dokubo, in a recent interview on ‘Rubbin’ Minds’ with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu talked about her early career days, the growth of Nollywood and why she got involved in acting in the first place.
According the Actress, entertainment came easy to her because she got involved as a child with the support of her parents, going on to study Theatre Arts and returning to the industry.
“If you can tell that this one is acting, then, it’s a bad job, and if any actor pays more attention to herself or himself whilst doing the role, again, you’re not doing your job,” she said, commenting on the art.
The actress also expressed her wish of finding a role that would entail her singing, dancing, and possibly acting as a twin; even to playing stole that requires her speaking pidgin all through. “I’ve been on set and met young people who are busy fiddling with their phones while on set! This is the smallest of the offences,” she sternly added.
Sharing her journey of public service, she states her realization of the need to give back to society, the only push she needed to do all she has been involved with.
