Nigerian hype man and event host Fisayo Michael Olagunju, popularly known as MC Fish, has addressed the controversy surrounding the collapse of his marriage to Nollywood actress Anita Joseph, defending himself against allegations of infidelity
In a teaser for an upcoming interview on Echo Room, the media personality was questioned about claims that he cheated during their marriage.
Responding to the issue, MC Fish said he was “not the first man to cheat,” maintaining his stance while reflecting on the breakdown of their relationship.
He said : “There is no enmity between us. I am not the first man to cheat.I was married for five years and have been with that woman for two years”.
He added: “It’s life… I’m not the first man to cheat.”
Despite their separation, he stressed that there is no bad blood between him and Anita Joseph. He admitted that the end of the marriage was painful, noting that they had spent more than five years together as husband and wife.

Speaking further, MC Fish argued that society often judges men and women differently after a relationship ends.
According to him, when a woman moves on with a new partner, she is usually praised for finding happiness.
However, he believes that when a man enters a new relationship after a failed marriage, he is often labelled as someone who cheated.
He concluded by saying that life has not always been fair to men and stood by his opinion on the double standards surrounding relationships and breakups.
