Popular Nigerian Fuji musician Remi Aluko, who recently shared a devastating update about his health.

In a deeply emotional interview on Oyinmomo TV, the singer opened up about his ongoing battle with glaucoma, bravely disclosing that he has completely lost his sight.

Despite having undergone eye surgery in the past to halt the progression of the disease, Aluko revealed that the efforts were unfortunately unsuccessful.

Speaking with raw vulnerability about his daily reality, he shared that “there’s no difference between me and a blind person.”

I’m a glaucoma patient. I’m managing myself; I’m currently not seeing. Despite being a glaucoma patient, many people don’t know. There’s no difference between me and a blind person now, but no one knows because I don’t let my condition weigh me down.

Thank God that I know how to take care of myself like someone who can see. I decided not to dwell on my condition because I don’t want to be depressed,” he said.

It is a heartbreaking turn of events for the vibrant performer, whose voice has brought joy to so many, as he now navigates life in total darkness.
