‘I gave God no option but to bless me’ – Rema

Mavin Records music star Rema is a name that is fast becoming a household name with the young stars having dropped hits back to back. Rema recently had a chat with City People and he spoke about why God blessed him with success as well as his relationship status.

When asked if he is expected success, he affirmed that he did. Attributing his success to hard work, giving seeds and tithes to God while leaving the rest to God, Rema said:

“Yeah, I actually expected it because I worked really hard for it, having sleepless nights, prayed, gave my seeds, tithes; and left the rest for the lord which gave him no other option but to bless me.”

He goes on to add that getting to work with Don Jazzy was a spiritual experience. He said working hard with the prolific producer, everything happened quickly for him.

“The only thing people see about me is my music and my studio section or repost. But a lot is happening behind the screen; a lot of tears, sweat, and blood”, he said about his struggles.

“People tend to believe that we overhype. But it’s not overhyping because it’s really happening. While some people were sleeping, I was on the road every single night.”

With success and fame has also come attention from female fans and Rema is not exempt from it.

When asked about his relationship status the Lady crooner said:

“My home is actually my peace, basically, I find my own peace either in church or home. My own personal space, but yeah! It will be nice to find someone I can share it with, but then, I have not found the right one.”
