Nigerian singer Bella Shmurda has candidly reflected on his past financial decisions, admitting that he once mismanaged his earnings during the early stages of his career.
The Afrobeats star revealed that, at the time he prioritised living large and supporting those around him without fully considering the long-term implications of his spending habits.

Speaking during a recent interview, Bella Shmurda recounted how he accommodated several friends in his residence and made extravagant purchases, including multiple cars, in a bid to maintain a certain lifestyle.
“I used to have money but I rushed things. I was housing 10 of my friends in a four-bedroom flat and bought three cars just so we could move in convoy,” he said.
Bella Shmurda explained further, that those experiences ultimately taught him valuable lessons about financial discipline and the importance of strategic decision-making.
“Now, when I make money, I think about it before making a move,” he added.
Today, Bella Shmurda appears more focused on sustainability and long-term planning, as he signals a more mature approach to both his career and personal finances as he continues to evolve in the Nigerian music scene.
