‘I want my old life back’- BB Naija Winner Mercy Eke
Behind the glitz and glamour, Mercy Eke has confirmed that she is tired of the limelight. In a live chat with her followers on Instagram, she says she wants her old live back.
Mercy Eke emerged the 2019 Big Brother Naija winner, becoming the first female ever to win the reality TV show. As a result of this feat she has to keep up with appearances.
In her words;
“This thing it looks rosy on social media and it’s not rosy. I think I want my old life. I want to sleep wake up when I want, don’t have anything to do, don’t have a calendar. Right now I have a calendar. It sucks like I hate yea I prayed for it but its too much. People keep telling me it will reduce and it doesn’t. It keeps getting worse, I don’t have a life of my own anymore…like I feel like I want my old life back.”
Since Mercy Eke was announced as the BB Naija winner, many opportunities and endorsement have been coming her way. Just recently, she became the cover star for Exquisite Magazine and seemed to be definitely enjoying her new found fame. She also expressed her readiness to remain in the spotlight as long as it lasts.
Being famous is a goal for tons of people, but sometimes it’s not what it’s expected to be. We hope Mercy Eke pulls through soon because she has become one of the success stories of BB Naija reality TV show.
