Controversial social media activist VeryDarkMan has responded to critics questioning his involvement in the ongoing family dispute between Nigerian music duo Psquare and their elder brother, Jude Okoye.
VeryDarkMan said he would continue to speak about the matter despite calls for him to stay away from the family’s affairs.
He maintained that public figures’ claims should not automatically be accepted as facts and insisted on examining and fact-checking information presented to the public.
The activist compared the situation with the controversy surrounding the death of singer Mohbad, saying his push for a DNA test kept public attention on the case. He claimed the controversy also placed pressure on Mohbad’s family and contributed to public scrutiny of those involved.

VeryDarkMan further addressed claims concerning singer Phyno. He said Peter Okoye told him that Phyno could serve as a key witness in the dispute and alleged that Jude had scammed Phyno.
However, VeryDarkMan said he contacted Phyno to verify the claim, only for the singer to deny it.
“Phyno is going to be a key witness in this case. I felt sympathy for him. I went to ask Phyno and Phyno said, ‘No, that’s not true,’” he recounted.
VeryDarkMan also offered ₦50 million for proof relating to what he is demanding in the case, while questioning why critics expect him to remain silent when the controversy continues to generate public discussion.
