Veteran Nollywood actress Omotunde Ogundimu has broken down in tears while pleading for financial help as she battles cervical cancer, a condition she has been fighting since 2024.
In an emotional interview with colleague Biola Adebayo, the widow and mother of three poured out her heart.
“I just want to be okay. I am exhausted. I want a peaceful life,” she said through tears.
Ogundimu revealed that the treatment has taken a heavy toll on her body, including painful side effects that make even simple acts like urinating difficult.

The actress explained that her children have spent nearly everything they have trying to support her care after she lost her husband in 2012.
“I still need to be treated, please have mercy on me. I don’t know who to call and where to get money from again. Please just help me,” she begged. “I plead with Nigerians to have mercy on me.”

Ogundimu’s public cry comes as the industry continues to lose talents to the same disease.
Nollywood has mourned several stars who lost their battles with cancer, including Aisha Abimbola (Omoge Campus), who died of breast cancer in 2018; Doris Chima and Karibi Fubara in 2021; Tom Njemanze in 2025; and more recently Alexx Ekubo and Taiwo Hassan (Ogogo) in 2026.
