I’m Not Female, Just An Artiste With A Vision – Niniola

Queen of Afro-House music, Niniola, in a brief interview on Okay Africa’s “Moments With” talks about her journey from the reality TV show that brought her to limelight and her decision to make a statement in the industry at all costs.

With massive singles like “Maradona” and “Bana” and standout albums like “This Is Me”, the singer has reserved her place as a lead act, pushing a blend of afro-pop and house.
Niniola has made sure to stay in the mix with recent offerings like, “Boda Sodiq” and “Designer”.

In the latest edition of the cross-brand series between Okayplayer and OkayAfrica, a show created to intimate fans with their fave celebs, “Moments With”, Niniola discusses growing up in Nigeria, her rise and recently getting recognition from legendary producer Timbaland and Drake.

“Coming into the industry I didn’t see myself as a female, I saw myself as an artiste that wanted to do music her own way and I was sure I was going to excel at it no matter what,” Niniola shared.
