You Can Now Enjoy Keletso Mopai’s Short Story Collection “If You Keep Digging”

Keletso Mopai’s “If You Keep Digging,” a collection of short stories published by Blackbird Books is now available for readers to devour.

Mopai revisits apartheid South Africa and didn’t return, until she takes us through family relationships, abandonment, race in apartheid South Africa, social and class issues, power tussle, mental illnesses, witchcraft, sexuality, domestic abuse, and every other issue that reared its head, during that time in the history of South Africa. She wove a basket of sadness, finely so, and placed it right where she knew we would find it.

Keletso Mopai is a South African writer, born and raised in Lenyenye Township, Limpopo. Her works have appeared in print and online publications like; Drum Magazine, Brittle Paper, Johannesburg Review, Omenana Magazine, Kalahari Review, amongst others.
