Nigerian actor, Etime Effiong, has publicly shown support for On-Air Personality, Roby Ekpo, following reports surrounding the end of his 11-year marriage.
The situation, which has drawn widespread attention on social media, stems from a viral video in which Roby Ekpo reportedly expressed shock over discovering that his wife had moved on and allegedly remarried without his knowledge.
In response, Effiong took to social media to offer words of encouragement and empathy. In a heartfelt message, the actor urged Roby Ekpo not to feel weak or ashamed for expressing vulnerability in public, emphasising that such openness is a natural part of being human.
“My dear brother, just because you’ve chosen to be vulnerable in public doesn’t make you ‘weak’ or ‘simple’; it just means you’re human undergoing your process,” he wrote.

Effiong further encouraged him to draw strength from faith, referencing the biblical example of Jesus Christ, who, according to him, experienced pain and vulnerability publicly. He reassured Roby Ekpo that better days lie ahead, ending his message with a note of optimism and brotherly support.
“Find strength in the fact that Jesus wept publicly, was in pain publicly and stripped of all his dignity publicly. Jesus gat you brother… your best days are ahead of you,” he added.

According to him, the marriage began to crumble after he saw her wedding pictures online. He claimed he only recently became aware of a message his ex-wife allegedly sent, in which she expressed deep dissatisfaction.
