John Legend Drops Video for “Preach”
After the Pampers’ advert that went viral tugging the heart strings of all and sundry, music lovers started to yearn secretly for a new John Legend video or track.
Prayers were answered when John Legend released the video for his song “Preach” yesterday on all major video streaming platforms.
The video which opens with the EGOT winner in bed next to his wife, Chrissy Teigen was directed by Dominique DeLeon and produced by Kelsey Gilchrist and Angel Rosa.
“Preach” addresses plenty of touchy subjects including mass shootings, police brutality against unarmed black men and family separation at the U.S border.
Shots of Legend in an abandoned church has him singing the lines “And heaven knows I’m not helpless/But what can I do?/Can’t see the use in crying/If I’m not even trying to make the change I wanna see”
