Renowned Fuji musician King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as KWAM 1 or K1 De Ultimate, has responded to allegations that he fathered and abandoned a 12-year-old girl identified as Azizat.
The singer responded to the allegations while performing at the 10th coronation anniversary of the Onikate of Ikate, Oba Lateef Adams, where he confirmed that he did not know the girl’s mother, Ogechi Eleana, or acknowledge having had a relationship with her.
He also dismissed the allegations and suggested that those making such claims should take them to social media.
“On your phone, turn on Bluetooth. Go to TikTok, then go to Facebook. Anybody who has an unnecessary pregnancy is just like a giveaway,” he said.
“These children, don’t kill me. Go and say it on TikTok and other social media platforms.”
The Fuji singer’s response comes after one Ogechi Eleana, during a recent interview with Feel Right News TV, alleged that she was Kwam 1’s former pedicurist and that they were in a relationship for more than seven years.
According to her, she became pregnant with Azizat during the relationship. She claimed the singer asked her to terminate the pregnancy and promised to send money for the procedure. She alleged that after she refused, he stopped communicating with her.
Elenana also claimed she sought help from the late Kabiru Agbabiaka, who she said contacted the singer on her behalf. She further alleged that she later visited K1’s late mother, who became emotional after seeing the child because of her resemblance to the musician.
Azizat, who appeared alongside her mother in the interview, appealed for support and said she had been forced out of school because of financial difficulties.
“I’m a 12-year-old performer. I have written my own music based on my experiences, but I have not found anyone to help launch my career,” she said.
“I heard my father is a billionaire, but I am not seeing that reality. People sometimes come to film me to help, but I end up disappointed. I see him supporting others with millions, but he refuses to come to my aid. My mother has been through a lot; he should come forward.”
