Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Headed for Divorce
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West‘s marriage is as good as done as sources say the two are heading for divorce. After 8 years together and 6 years of marriage, the E! reality TV star and the rapper are going their separate ways. However, Kim is yet to file for a divorce.
Kim and Kanye went public with their relationship in 2012. The couple share 4 children together; North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 2, and Psalm, who is a little over a year old.
“It’s gotten to the point where they haven’t spent time together as a married couple in months,” a source told E! News exclusively. “They’ve seen each other for the sake of the kids but have been living separately. Kim knows the marriage is over. She’s known for a while.”
As for why the KKW Beauty founder is yet to file for divorce from Kanye, the insider reveals that Kim wants to make sure it is the right decision for their four children. The source said, “It’s not about the marriage anymore. She’ll always care for Kanye but it’s over between them. Kim is only focused on what’s best for the kids. It’s a tough decision for her and she’s figuring it out.”
Over the last year, the celebrity couple has had a rocky relationship. Recall that in July 2020, Kim spoke publicly about Kanye’s mental health challenges following a long tirade about her family that he had on Twitter.

“As many of you know, Kanye has bi-polar disorder. Anyone who has this or has a loved one in their life who does, knows how incredibly complicated and painful it is to understand,” Kim said in part.
“I’ve never spoken publicly about how this has affected us at home because I am very protective of our children and Kanye’s right to privacy when it comes to his health,” Kim wrote. “But today, I feel like I should comment on it because of the stigma and misconceptions about mental health.”
In her message to the public, the SKIMS founder called for compassion and privacy for their family. But throughout the rest of 2020, it became more and more clear that Kimye had reached a stalemate in their relationship.
“She is doing her thing and he is doing his,” a source revealed in December. “Kim doesn’t micromanage it or worry about it too much. She lets him go off and be who he is. It is what it is.”
Just last year, Kim and Kanye marked their fifth wedding anniversary by privately renewing their vows. We will see how this pans out in the coming days. But one thing about Kim is that she would never stay in an unhappy marriage.
