Veteran Yoruba Actress, Orisabunmi is Dead
Veteran Yoruba actress, Folake Aremu, popularly known as Orisabunmi, has died at the age of 60.
Confirming her death, President of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria, (TAMPAN), Bolaji Amusan, aka Baba Latin, disclosed that the movie- star died on Tuesday night.
Her death comes month after the demise of her ex- husband, Jimoh Aliu, better known as Aworo, who died on September 17, 2020.
Renowned for playing the role of a priestess and good witch in movies; Orisabunmi‘s acting career started in the 80s. She was discovered by her ex-husband while she was teaching in Kwara State.
Some of her famous television dramas include Arelu, Oluwerimagboojo and Ayanmo Eda.
