FIFA has unveiled an electrifying lineup for the first-ever halftime show at the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final, promising a global music extravaganza that will rival the Super Bowl.
On July 19, 2026, at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, the venue hosting the tournament decider, Pop icon Madonna, Latin superstar Shakira, and K-pop phenomenon BTS will co-headline the groundbreaking performance.

The show is curated by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and produced in partnership with Global Citizen. It aims to raise funds for the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which supports quality education and access to football for children worldwide.

This marks a historic first for the World Cup, introducing a dedicated halftime spectacular to captivate the massive global audience expected to tune in.

Adding to the excitement, Shakira is also deeply involved in the tournament’s soundtrack. Her collaboration with Nigerian superstar Burna Boy on the official anthem “Dai Dai,” blending infectious Latin rhythms, Afrobeats energy, and unifying chants, is set to become the tournament’s defining song. The track, released today, builds on Shakira’s legendary World Cup legacy with hits like “Waka Waka.”
The opening ceremonies, spread across the three host nations, will further amplify the musical celebration. Mexico City’s kickoff at Estadio Azteca features Maná, Alejandro Fernández, J Balvin, Tyla, and more. Toronto highlights Michael Bublé and Alanis Morissette, while Los Angeles at SoFi Stadium boasts Katy Perry, LISA (BLACKPINK), Anitta, Future, Rema, and Tyla.
