Emeka Ugwuonye, the former lawyer for May Edochie, has made some serious claims about his ex-client.
Ugwuonye has come forward with claims that May has told 14 lies about her marriage to Yul Edochie. According to Ugwuonye, Yul was pressured into marrying May after getting her pregnant at 22, while May was 24. He stated that the marriage lacked love and was merely a management of circumstances.

Ugwuonye disputed May’s claims about Yul’s behavior, saying she falsely accused him of threatening her with a gun. He also alleged that May had known about Yul’s relationship with Judy Austin and initially condoned it.
Ugwuonye claimed May had no money and relied on Yul as the breadwinner, who even funded her business ventures and bought land for her.
The ex-lawyer further revealed that May initially wanted to stay in the marriage and only decided on divorce at the last minute, contrary to her public narrative.
Yul has been paying child support, stopping only when May’s supporters claimed she was the breadwinner. “Yul has been paying child support. He only stopped when May and her supporters lied that she was the breadwinner of the family,” he wrote.
He also disputed May’s claim that she was left with three bank loans, questioning why Yul should pay for loans she took without his knowledge.
May as reported by eelive.ng, serve Yinka Theisen and her ex-lawyer a cease-and-desist letter, demanding 500 million naira and 1 billion naira respectively from both in damages for alleged cyberbullying and defamation. Ugwuonye in reaction, has threatened to release more information, calling May a “cold-blooded liar” who manipulated her case for brand growth.
