Pop icon Miley Cyrus achieved a monumental career milestone on Friday as she was officially honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Eelive.ng reported the emotional ceremony saw the 33-year-old Flowers singer break down in tears during a heartfelt acceptance speech.
Addressing her loved ones, Cyrus expressed deep gratitude to her mother, siblings, friends, and creative partners.
“Thank you for loving and supporting not only the choices that I make, but my fears, and then facing them with me.”
“Today is something that I’ll never forget and I’m always going to cherish,” she said.
Reflecting on her legacy, the Grammy winner cleverly referenced her own track, “Walk of Fame,” which concludes with the line, “You’ll live forever.”

While noting that the star symbolises a form of immortality, Cyrus poignantly added that her own mortality is what drives her artistic passion:
“Although I love the lyric, the fact that I won’t [live forever] is what creates the urgency that sets my heart on fire.”
Rather than viewing the accolade as a fleeting prize, Cyrus described the star as a representation of long-term artistic commitment.
“What feels so special to me about this star is that it’s an accumulation of devotion
“A star isn’t something that you win like a seasonal game… It’s not something you make the next record for,” calling the honor “fierce and fun and fabulous.” She added.

The momentous occasion was a star-studded family affair. Cyrus was supported at the event by her mother, Tish Cyrus, her sister, Brandi Cyrus, and her fiancé, Maxx Morando.
Close celebrity friends Anya Taylor-Joy and fashion mogul Donatella Versace were also in attendance to celebrate the milestone.
