My Brother Died Due to Nigeria’s Poor Healthcare – BBNaija’s Mike
Former BBNaija housemate, Mike Edwards, has revealed that his older brother died of sickle cell anaemia at the age of 10 due to Nigeria’s poor healthcare system.
In a post shared on his Instagram page, he stated that his would still be alive today if Nigeria had a better healthcare system.
Sharing a throwback picture of Mathew, his brother, he wrote;
“My older brother Matthew lost his life during a sickle cell crisis in Nigeria when he was 10 years old, to think if he would have been in a country with better healthcare support that his life would be saved today is heartbreaking. The fight to End SARS is our cry for help after years of corruption and bad governance.”
Edwards and his wife Perri Shakes-Drayton welcomed their first child, Matthew Olaoluwa Edwards on August 26.
