Nigerian actor and comedian Charles Inojie has shared a deeply emotional account of his upbringing, revealing the painful experiences he endured within his family while growing up.
Speaking candidly, the Nollywood star recounted how his stepmother once gave his father an ultimatum to choose between her and him. According to Inojie, his father ultimately chose his wife, a decision that had a lasting emotional impact on him.
The actor further disclosed that his academic journey was also affected by the strained family dynamics. He revealed that after securing admission into the university, his stepmother insisted that he postpone his education.
Her reason, he said, was that he should wait for her own child to grow older so they could attend university together despite the significant age gap between them.

“My stepmother asked my father to choose between her and me, and he chose her. When I got admission into the university, she told my father I had to wait for her own child to grow up so we could go together a child I’m 18 years older than,” he said.
