My Father is alive- Timi Dakolo Debunks Rumours of Father’s Death

Timi Dakolo, popular Nigerian singer has debunked the news that his father is dead. He announced in a recent post on his Instagram page.

The singer said that there’s no truth to this claim and stressed that his father is “alive and doing well”.

This is coming after Dakolo, announced his recent appointment as a special adviser to Bayelsa State Government on entertainment .

The false news about Dakolo‘s father’s death went viral on social media under the headline “Timi Dakolo is Bereaved.” The statement reads :

“Nigerian singer and winner of Idols West Africa 2007, Timi Dakolo is bereaved. The 39 year old announced the loved one’s death on Wednesday on his Instagram page.

“He captioned the demise post on Instagram page saying:

”Thank you for the music you played for Us while growing up,The reading listens,The Christmas clothes,the flogging,The go and face the wall,The one new word everyday,The go and bring your books,the evening lessons,The show me your fingernails and your teeth and many more.Thank you for teaching me the importance of repetition.Thank you sir.We would miss you.”

However, Timi Dakolo urged his social media followers not to believe the extremely unpleasant information that is being shared online about his father being dead. He wrote:

“You people should try and leave me alone.. my father is alive and doing well. I wonder how you people come up with all these information. I didn’t say anything about my father being dead. A simple investigation would do the world much good.”
