American recording artiste Jason Joel Desrouleaux, popularly known as Jason Derulo, has opened up about expecting to marry young, revealing that he never thought he would be single at 37.
In an interview with Graham Bensinger, the ‘Don’t Wanna Go Home’ hitmaker candidly revealed that his experience changed his perspective on marriage.

The singer said he has witnessed a lot of breakups and tense moments between couples, which made him scared of commitment.
“I thought I was going to marry a lot of the girls I dated. Never in a million years, I think that I would be 37 and single.
“However, I have seen too much. I have seen too much in my life. You could imagine the things that I have seen; married women leaving their spouses on the spot, leaving their men in the club. I have seen everything under the sun,” he expressed.
Derulo and fellow singer Jordin Sparks dated for three years before ending their relationship in September 2014.
In 2021, he welcomed a son with his girlfriend Jena Frumes. The couple broke up barely five months after the arrival of their child.
