After what turned out to be decades of restrictions on entertainment in Saudi Arabia, organizers of the mega music festival, Jeddah World Fest, have revealed the first wave of international artists that will be performing at the festival.
 
Starting with no other than award-winning hip-hop/rap star, Nicki Minaj as the headline act for the main event scheduled to hold on July 18 at the Kind Abdullah Sports Stadium.
Other artists performing at the festival include, musician Steve Aoki and singer Liam Payne. The show which will be broadcast on TV stations across the globe will be emceed by DJs R3wire and Varski.
 
Raed Abuzinada, sector development chief of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority (GEA) and director general of Jeddah Season, said the Jeddah World Fest would be the biggest music event of its kind and would be covered by MTV.
