Nigerian comedian Basketmouth’s recent Instagram comment about Nigeria being the best country to live in if you have a lot of money has ignited a heated debate about the challenges facing the nation.
He wrote: “Nigeria is unarguably the best county to live in.” In his next post he continued saying “If you have a LOT of money”. While his statement was laced with humor, it shows the harsh realities of living in Nigeria.
The country’s issues with insecurity, infrastructure problems, and economic instability have led many Nigerians to seek better opportunities abroad.
