Nollywood actor and entrepreneur Prince Eke has knocked his fellow celebrities, accusing them of involvement in Nigeria’s ongoing struggles with corruption and poor governance.

In a widely shared post, Eke argued that many actors, musicians, and other public figures have remained conspicuously silent as the country “drowns in corruption and bad governance.” He claimed this inaction stems from self-interest: celebrities are “waiting for politicians to throw them a few peanuts” to perform at campaign rallies and events.

Eke lamented that if Nigeria had a functional system, many entertainers would still earn royalties from films made decades ago. Instead, he said, they “line up to be used by the same politicians destroying the country,” prioritizing financial survival over principles.

“Many of them are broke, desperate, and perfectly willing to sell their conscience to the highest bidder,” Eke wrote. He concluded his post saying: “After all, conscience no dey put food for their table.”

The outspoken actor, known for his roles in films like Indecent Proposal and his advocacy on social issues, urged followers not to be influenced by such celebrities.
