Nigerian comedian Nasboi mourns the loss of his only brother
Lawal Michael, better known as Nasboi, a popular content creator, is in mourning after the death of his only brother.
In a heartbreaking Instagram post, he uploaded a teary-eyed photograph to announce the sudden death of his 20-year-old younger brother. His brother died in the late hours of Saturday, July 29, 2023, according to his post.
“Death took my only brother last night,” he captioned the photo. He was only 20 years old. God is the ultimate authority.”
The bereaved comedian also shared the sad news of his brother’s death on his Instagram story. He shared the teary-eyed photo, noting the irony that he, a comedian known for making others laugh, was crying.
In his words, “Na me wey dey make people laugh, na me dey cry.”
Nasboi’s label also issued a press release requesting privacy for him during this difficult time, saying, “We kindly ask that Nasboi be given privacy to carry out this period of mourning as this is a big blow that will require a lot of processing and acknowledgment.”
In the press release, they asked that his fans and supporters continue to send prayers and love until Nasboi is able to walk again.
He received an outpouring of love and support from his fans, as well as other celebrities who sent condolences and well wishes via his social media. His brother was later laid to rest.
