John Boyega speaks on taking Harrison Ford for a Nigerian meal
John Boyega told a story about taking Harrison Ford to a South London restaurant.
In an interview on the Mythical Kitchen YouTube channel, he revealed that he took Harrison Ford to a Nigerian restaurant.
John shared with Chef Josh Scherer that Harrison Ford must have been tired from filming and dieting on set.
He asked John to take him somewhere different to eat.
“I guess the man was tired of filming and being on a diet. He said ‘Hey kid, I want to eat something that’s gonna be a little bit different…that would be a great great time.” Standing up to the challenge, John said he took Harrison to a local Nigerian spot in South London called 805″, he explained.
John said he assumed Harrison would stick to more familiar dishes like Jollof Rice, Plantain.
“But Harrison went past that and went for real native meals and had Amala, Ewudu, pounded yam, and Egusi. He ate the food my forefathers ate and had a really amazing time with it.”
John said he finished every single plate and fell asleep in the car on their way home like a Nigerian.
