A self-acclaimed feminist has stirred heated reactions online after openly explaining why she has no intention of getting married or becoming a mother.
The lady, whose video has gone viral across social media platforms, argued that many women tend to lose their personal identity and ambitions once they become wives and mothers.
According to her, marriage often changes a woman’s entire life, forcing her to abandon her dreams and individuality to focus on family responsibilities.

Speaking during the discussion, she claimed that she had observed several women lose themselves emotionally and mentally after marriage.
“I don’t want to be married because I’ve seen the way women get lost in marriages. They lose themselves, they lose their ambitions, their lives go from being a woman chasing her dreams to being a wife and a mother,” she said.
The feminist further stated that motherhood does not appeal to her because she does not believe the emotional and mental demands attached to it are worth risking her mental health for.
“Once a woman becomes the wife, her identity is lost. I don’t want to be a mother too because the idea of motherhood is not worth me risking mental health issues,” she added.

Her comments have since generated mixed reactions online, with some social media users agreeing that many women struggle to maintain their individuality after marriage, while others criticised her opinion, arguing that marriage and motherhood can coexist with personal ambition.
