
Popular Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami has shared his ongoing grief nearly two months after the sudden passing of his dear friend and colleague, actress Allwell Ademola, admitting that he continues to weep over her death.
In a recent interview shared on Channels Television, Salami opened up about the impact of losing Allwell Ademola, who died on December 27, 2025, from a sudden heart attack at her home in Lagos at the age of 49.
The actress, also known as a filmmaker and singer, was widely regarded in the industry for her talent, warmth, and mentorship.

Salami described their bond as exceptionally deep, referring to her affectionately as “Shuga” and revealing how her presence had been a constant source of support and inspiration in his life and career. He noted that the pain remains fresh, saying; “I still weep over the passing of Ademola Allwell.”

Salami also expressed regret that she never got to see the full fruits of their shared vision, noting how they had big plans together. In earlier statements, he urged fans and the public to cherish relationships, love more openly, smile often, and value life, as “tomorrow is not promised.”
The actor has promised to stay strong despite the emptiness, while asking well-meaning supporters not to console him in person, as it often overwhelms him emotionally. “All is not well at the moment, but I promise to stand strong,” he shared.
