Nonso Bassey Talks Nude Scene in ‘La Femme Anjola’
Nigerian actor, Nonso Bassey, who played the leading male role opposite superstar, Rita Dominic in the buzzy crime thriller La Femme Anjola has opened up on their steamy love scenes in the film.
In one of the movie scene, the actor had to go nude after a romantic bathroom affair with Dominic.
While speaking in a chat with Pulse, the singer cum-actor revealed that going nude in the film was worth it.
“I am of the school of thought that if it is worth it, then go all out for it. I knew that there were going to love scenes but when I read the script; I knew I wanted to give it my all if the call came. The director and I discussed it and I was okay with it,” he said.
“I mean, I am an actor so, beyond the nervousness, I felt it was for a worthy cause and I don’t mind stripping for a worthy cause. I mean if my dad wasn’t a pastor, I would have been a stripper. Lol”
Before venturing into Nollywood, Bassey revealed that he worked as a civil servant for some years. He added that being in the “corporate” world has helped his movie career.
“I worked in the ministry of aviation, specifically in Nigeria Airspace Management Agency. I was a public affairs officer,” he revealed.
“I did that for about four to five years and even though the corporate world was not the path I wanted for myself, it taught me a lot about work ethic, structure and hard work especially in my artistic field.”

The Multi-talented Bassey, who become well known for his role as Emeka in the popular television series Battleground made his acting debut in Wurukum Roundabout, a feature length film shot in Markurdi.
He finished as a top 8 finalist in the maiden edition of The Voice Nigeria; and is signed to Universal Music Group Nigeria. In February 2018, Bassey released his official debut single 411, produced by alte singer, Johny Drille.
