Nollywood actor Olaide Olabanji has taken to social media to accuse actress cum film maker, Mercy Aigbe, of cutting off communication with him after bringing her into the movie industry.
Olabanji alleged that he was instrumental in introducing Aigbe to the Nigerian film industry, stating that their first encounter dates back to 2004.
According to him, he met the actress in a shop and, upon discovering her interest in acting, gave her an opportunity that would eventually shape her career.

Recounting the experience, Olabanji said he asked Aigbe if she could act, to which she responded affirmatively. He then decided to feature her in a production, effectively helping her gain entry into Nollywood.
“I brought Mercy Aigbe into the movie industry. I saw her in a shop in 2004 and asked if she could act. She said yes, and I put her on,” he said.
However, the actor expressed disappointment over what he described as a breakdown in their relationship. Olabanji claimed that despite his support in her early days, Aigbe has now cut off communication with him.
“But now she is blocking me. To her, it is as if I should no longer exist,” he added.
