NOLLYWOOD actress, Omoni Oboli will have her directed political drama movie, Love Is War; streaming on Netflix from Wednesday, April 29, 2020.

This development came on the heels of increasing demand for Netflix content; as the novel coronavirus plaguing the world has forced people indoors for an extended period.

Love Is War is a 2019 Nigerian comedy-drama film directed by Oboli and written by Chinaza Onuzo.

The movie stars Oboli, Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), Jide Kosoko, Akin Lewis, Bimbo Manuel, Toke Makinwa, Shaffy Bello, Femi Branch, Uzo Osimkpa, Yemi Blaq, Damilare Kuku, and William Benson.

Love is War is an intense drama about a couple battling for the governorship of Ondo State. With the movie, Oboli opens a conversation on identity crisis Nigerian women face when they marry husbands who are not from the same states as theirs.

The flick also critically examines the lopsidedness of the electoral system in Nigeria. Also, it highlights how society refuses to acknowledge the inequality and double standards it has regarding gender; and how far we have left to go.
