David Adeleke, Nigerian music superstar popularly known as Davido, has taken a reflective turn, sharing a heartfelt message about the power of emotions and their lasting impact on human relationships.
In a recent post on his Instagram page, the award-winning Afrobeats singer reminded fans of the importance of how people make others feel, stressing that emotions often outlast words and actions. “I’ve learnt that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel,” Davido wrote.

The message, which has since gone viral, underscores the singer’s emphasis on empathy, emotional intelligence, and intentional kindness, especially in an era where digital interactions often lack depth and sincerity.
This isn’t the first time the “Unavailable” crooner has shown his thoughtful side. Known for his energetic stage presence and larger-than-life persona, Davido has in recent months become more vocal about emotional well-being, relationships, and personal growth.
Following the birth of his twins with wife Chioma Rowland in 2023, just a year after the tragic loss of their first son, Ifeanyi, Davido has repeatedly expressed gratitude, resilience, and a deeper appreciation for life’s intangible values. In June 2025, Davido made headlines after donating ₦300 million to orphanages across Nigeria, an annual tradition he began in 2021. This year’s gesture touched over 100 homes, reinforcing his long-standing commitment to philanthropy.
Earlier in April, the singer also launched his global tour titled Timeless Tour Reloaded, taking the stage in cities like London, New York, and Johannesburg. At each stop, Davido not only entertained but shared stories of personal resilience, fatherhood, and the journey that shaped his Timeless album.
At the 2025 BET Awards, Davido picked up the Best International Act award, dedicating it to African youth and urging them to stay true to their values. “Fame is fleeting, but impact is eternal,” he said during his acceptance speech.
