Munirat Antoinette Lecky, the former Big Brother Naija housemate has been appointed as the Senior Special Assistant on Tourism and Creative Economy to Edo Governor, Monday Okpebholo.
The appointment to the reality TV star, who participated in the 2018 edition of BBNaija, was officially communicated through a letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor.
According to reports, the appointment, became effective from June 23, 2025.
The statement read, “I write to inform you that the Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved your appointment as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Tourism and Creative Economy with effect from June 23, 2025.

“The remuneration attached to the appointment is as provided for in the relevant regulations currently in force in the Edo State Public Service. Please accept my hearty Congratulations.”
Meanwhile, Hyacinth Alia, the Governor of Benue State recently appointed popular Nigerian singer, 2Face Idibia, as his Technical Adviser on Entertainment and Community Outreach.
The Governor made the announcement during a visit to his office by the veteran singer. He also extended appreciation to the singer for all the support towards his administration, adding that the singer has the capacity to do more.
Announcing the appointment, Governor Alia said: “On behalf of the Benue State government and our very good people, we want to give you some more responsibility plus the ones you have been doing because you have the capacity to do some more and help us chart a way forward to improve other people’s lives and to gain more from your wisdom and advise as well so I’m pleased to announce that we will make you a technical adviser to the Governor on entertainment and community outreach.”
