President Muhammadu and Aisha Buhari Celebrate 30th Anniversary
President Muhammadu Buhari and his First Lady Aisha Buhari are celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary today. Buhari and his second wife Aisha have been married for three decades!
President Buhari took to Twitter to post about their anniversary. While we do not know the details of their relationship, I think we can all agree that his anniversary wishes were formal, cold, and unromantic.

Muhammadu and Aisha Buhari married a year after his divorce from his first wife, Safinatu. He divorced Safinatu after 17 years of marriage over claims that she received financial support from Ibrahim Babangida while he [Buhari] was in prison.
The President and First Lady have four daughters and a son together; Aisha, Halima, Yusuf, Zahra, and Amina.
A couple of months back, there were rumours going around about Buhari allegedly marrying a new wife. There was also some confusion as to why Aisha Buhari was missing from Aso Rock.
The news said Buhari’s aides pushed Aisha out to make way for the new wife. There was even a public wedding invite on social media. But now, all of that looks like fake news, seeing Buhari’s cold message to his wife on their anniversary.
