R.Kelly Heads Back to Jail Over $161,000 Child Support Fees
Robert Sylvester Kelly, R.Kelly has once again been taken into custody hours after his interview on CBS with Gayle King aired.
He was arrested by same Cook County sheriff’s deputies after a child-support hearing on Wednesday in Chicago where it was revealed that he was guilty of not paying his ex-wife, Andrea Kelly over $161,000 in child support.
Kelly had been warned by presiding judge, Judge Lori Rosen that he would be arrested again if he failed to pay the more than $161,000 in child support plus interest. He was given till 10am on Wednesday to do so but he failed.
Cook County Sheriff Office’s spokesperson Sophia Ansari shared this information with the Chicago Tribune however; she did not reveal what the signer’s bail will be set at now.
Recall that Kelly was recently released from jail less than two weeks ago after he was remanded for 10 counts of criminal aggravated sexual-abuse charges.
He and his ex-wife, Andrea Kelly have three children together; 20 year old Joann, 18 year old Jay and 16 year old Robert Jr.
