Regina Daniels debuts docu-series addressing domestic violence

Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels is debuting a short film docu-series that addresses social justice issues. The former child actress produced and starred in the film. She is making the film under her production company, Regina Entertainment TV (RET). 

The short film is titled, “Smile for the Camera”. It tells the story of domestic violence and the reality of people trapped in abusive relationships. Daniels is looking to use the film to highlight issues within society. 

The idea of the film is to create awareness about the harmful norms that encourage the oppression of vulnerable people in society. The film features Daniels herself who plays a character called Sophia.

It also features other stars like Gideon Moses who plays Dan and Gloria Mathias K who acts as Sophia’s mum. Nicolas Adekeye plays Sophia’s dad and Emanuella C. Eboka acts as Doctor Alex.

The film is directed by IceQue On It and the story was written by Precious Nkem Ogbuenyi

In June 2020, Daniels debuted an online reality show about her life on YouTube. The show is titled ‘Our Circle’ is also a Regina Entertainment TV production. It featured her husband, Prince Ned Nwoko, her mother and close family and friends. 

The show started off with how she found out she was pregnant and breaking the news to her mom. The eleven-episode docuseries highlighted the real life of the actress along with her transition into being a mom.

She shared highlights into shopping for the baby, gender reveal and the baby’s naming ceremony. The show also featured her husband’s blended family with her step children and other wives. 

Daniels also took time to show her postpartum struggles and recovery journey. She featured her friends on the show as well who were there to support her through the process. Her mother was also there to guide her through being a new mom.
