According to reports gathered, the accident occurred on the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road when his vehicle reportedly rammed into a trailer. While Sam Larry survived and was rushed for emergency medical treatment, reports indicate that his associate or bouncer tragically died at the scene.
Usually, Nigerians would sympathize with an accident victim; however, people prefer to mock Sam Larry’s recent predicament. It is only ideal that we dig into the history of Sam Larry to understand where this animosity stems from.
Sam Larry gained massive public attention following the sudden death of Nigerian singer Mohbad. He and musician Naira Marley were heavily accused by the public of bullying and harassing Mohbad. They were detained by the Lagos State Police Command and faced intense investigations.

In February 2025, a magistrate court in Yaba, Lagos State, officially cleared and acquitted Sam Larry, Naira Marley, and others of any involvement in Mohbad’s death, ruling that police investigations showed they had no case to answer.
Following his release, Sam Larry broke his silence in various interviews, stating that his confrontations with Mohbad were strictly over a ₦2 million financial dispute regarding a failed performance at a paid event.
