Scarlett Johansson welcomes baby boy with husband
American actress, Scarlet Johansson, has welcomed a baby boy with comedian husband, Colin Jost.
Despite Johansson’s popularity, the couple successfully kept the pregnancy under wraps. However on August 15, Jost dropped a hint during a recent comedy show, that his family was growing. This was following speculations surrounding Scarlett’s pregnancy, which first sparked online more than a month ago.
Jost has been open about his hopes of becoming a father.
The comedian spoke last July about his desire to start a family soon. Speaking with USA Today, he said,
“It’s strange because a switch kind of flipped for me [with fatherhood]—I don’t know—a year or two ago or something. And is definitely on my mind. It’s gonna be, I’m sure, very challenging. But I also think it could be really fun.”
On August 18, Saturday Night Live star announced that he and his wife had welcomed a baby boy. He also revealed the newborn’s unique name. Colin wrote,
“Ok ok we had a baby. His name is Cosmo. We love him very much. Privacy would be greatly appreciated.”
Johansson has not commented on her new baby. Neither she nor Colin has shared a photo of their son online.
This is the Black Widow actress’s first child with her husband and second child, as she shares six year old daughter, Rose Dorothy Dauriac with ex-husband Romain Dauriac.
The actress and comedian tied the knot in October 2020. The pair got engaged in May 2019. This was two years after dating. The duo are very private.
