Social commentator and relationship coach Solomon Buchi has shared his take on the explosive podcast episode by media personality Roby Ekpo, in which the latter emotionally detailed the breakdown of his long-distance marriage to ex-wife Mayowa Lambe.
Ekpo’s appearance on the Honest Bunch Podcast went viral after he recounted discovering via social media that his ex-wife, had married another man reportedly in the US. He read out old text messages where she expressed feeling unsupported, unsatisfied, and emotionally checked out.
In a widely praised reaction, Solomon Buchi addressed the situation directly. Many netizens hailed his opinion as “very intelligent,” with comments flooding in praising his balanced and mature perspective.
In Buchi’s exact words: “I have watched the full video and I have a lot more to say about Robert and Mayowa’s ex-marriage… They both don’t value themselves and their marriage. I hope they learn and move on. Wishing them peace and clarity.”
He further noted that both parties had flaws, emphasising mutual lack of value and respect in the relationship. Buchi advised that grievances should have been communicated directly rather than through third parties, and stressed the need for healing and growth on both sides.
On the other hand, Lambe has since issued a cease-and-desist notice demanding a public apology and ₦100 million in damages from Ekpo.
