Nollywood actress and filmmaker Bimbo Ademoye has appealed to fans to show more patience and kindness towards filmmakers, reminding them of the hard work and emotional pressure that often go into producing movies.
In a recent Instagram post, the actress thanked her “cyber family” for their love and support over the years, admitting that she may not be able to respond to every message but deeply appreciates the encouragement she receives from fans.
She said: “Dear cyber family! Thank you! For your love, your support, your patience. I may not be able to respond to all of you, but know that in those dark times, your messages kept me going. I do not take your love or support for granted.”
Ademoye also asked fans to avoid rude or disrespectful comments when discussing filmmakers and their movies.
She explained that creating a quality film takes months of planning, shooting, editing, and teamwork, adding that creatives sometimes struggle silently despite what they show online.

She added: “Please be kind to filmmakers today; we really do go through a lot. Underneath the smiles, the posts, the beautiful captions, sometimes we cry in silence, because unless you wear the shoes, you really won’t understand.”
While encouraging viewers to criticise movies when necessary, Ademoye urged them to do so respectfully.
She also teased fans about an upcoming movie, assuring them that the wait would be worth it and that another exciting production is on the way.
