Nollywood actress Mimisola Daniel has reaffirmed her belief in genuine love over financial gain, stating that relationships should be built on sincerity rather than material benefits.

In a recent interview with Potpourri, Daniel spoke openly about her approach to love, stressing that emotional connection and authenticity are far more important to her than wealth or status.

However, she described herself as someone who deeply values love, noting that she is willing to invest fully in a relationship as long as it remains healthy and respectful.

Daniel also addressed her openness in relationships, admitting that she can be deeply vulnerable when her feelings are genuine. Rather than seeing this as a flaw, she views it as a reflection of emotional honesty and a willingness to be true to herself.

In her words:

I’m a lover girl to the core,” she said. “I can go far for love, but only when it’s healthy and respectful. When the connection is real, I give it my all.”

What started as a desire for fame has evolved into a purpose-driven career focused on meaningful storytelling.  According to her, she once just wanted to “blow,” but now prioritises creating stories that resonate deeply with audiences.

“I believe in standing on my own. I prefer something real over something that’s just convenient,” she added

Speaking on the increasing trend of transactional relationships, often referred to as “sugar daddy” culture, the actress made it clear that she does not subscribe to such ideals. Beyond her views on relationships, Daniel highlighted her personal growth within the film industry. She explained that while she initially pursued fame, her priorities have since shifted towards telling meaningful stories that connect with audiences on a deeper level.
